The State Silk Museum, founded in 1887, is one of the oldest silk museums in the world. Located in a historic building constructed for the Caucasian Sericulture Station by Polish architect Alexander Shimkevich, it showcases over five thousand varieties of silkworms, butterflies, and cocoons. The museum displays silk production exhibits and items from 63 countries.
