State University is the western terminus of the Saburtalo Line on Tbilisi Metro, located in the Saburtalo district. Opened on 16 October 2017, it is the newest station in the network with construction beginning in Soviet times. The station serves the university quarter and student areas surrounding Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
