Metekhi Bridge is one of Tbilisi's oldest and most recognizable architectural landmarks, spanning the Mtkvari River in the city's historic Old Town. Built in its current form in 1951, the reinforced concrete bridge connects the city's banks and provides access to Metekhi Church with panoramic views of Narikala Fortress. The bridge occasionally hosts open-air events including the Day of the 100,000 Holy Martyrs liturgy.
