The SPINSTERHOOD project explores the history of silk production—from silkworms and cocoons to human and machine labour—through the museum's collection and contemporary installations. The exhibition examines evolving perceptions of labour and utility, featuring unusual cocoons previously considered unsuitable for production.

The film follows a post-war Polish conductor named Viktor who discovers a talented singer named Zula, and a love story unfolds between them against the backdrop of political upheaval and geographical distance. Following the screening, there will be a discussion of the film's visual style, cinematography, the role of folklore, and how the characters' personal narrative connects to European history. The event is hosted by Vadim Krivobok, a popularizer of world culture and history.
