The historic narrow-gauge railway Borjomi-Bakuriani, built in 1902, will resume regular train service by late 2026. The legendary steam locomotive "Cuckoo," named after the distinctive sound of its engine, will return to operation following a suspension that began during the coronavirus pandemic in 2020. The restored railway's cars feature a specially designed interior. Restoration work is nearing completion.
